Laura Grota began her nursing career six years ago in medical and surgical critical care prior to obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She completed her education at UT Health San Antonio with a specialty in Family Practice after assessing the need for improved outpatient care. She pursued becoming a Nurse Practitioner in the hopes of making a positive impact on patients looking to improve their overall health and quality of life.

Laura’s approach to care is to always keep the patient’s wishes and safety at the forefront of collaborative decision making, believing that effective patient care is rooted in a multifactorial approach. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks with her dog, Bear, working out, and reading.
